How to eat wedding cake, a step by step guide

Did you just accept a marriage proposal and are beginning the new year by planning your big day with a Napa Valley wedding?  If so, congratulations!  So many things to consider including the dress, venue, flowers, photography and the not-to-be forgotten wedding cake…a tradition you will find at most weddings.  Couples may spend hours deciding on what the perfect one is for them.  Clue:  tasting is the best way to narrow down your choices; after all, don’t you want a cake that is not only visually-pleasing but tastes good to you?  But, have you ever thought of how you should actually consume this tasty creation?  Should you take tiny bites or big bites?  The flower girl below demonstrates a variety of ways to approach the situation.  In my opinion, there is no right or wrong way…just enjoy it!  Cake supplied by Sweetie Pies, Napa.

Churchill Manor Elopement – Brenda & Matt

Are you thinking of getting married and want a beautiful intimate celebration with all of the details taken care of for you? Then consider inviting your closest relatives and friends and having a Churchill Manor elopement  in Napa Valley!  Or, if you prefer, you may even want to have a private ceremony with just the two of you.  Whether you are considering a large wedding or an elopement,  I highly recommend Churchill Manor as I have seen first hand the excellent quality of service they provide.  The following are a few high lights of Brenda and Matt’s elopement.  Enjoy!

Harvest Inn – Caitlyn & David’s Wedding

When I arrived on site at Harvest Inn, Cait was getting the finishing touches done on her hair and makeup.  She slipped into her lovely street-length wedding dress, which I think was absolutely perfect on her and was ready for her pre-ceremony portraits.  Her something “blue” was her polished toe nails, which I interpreted as thinking outside of the box.  : )   On the way to the ceremony site, we stopped at the Wishing Bridge (or as I know it, the “Ken, Mark, Scott, Dan, Rich Wishing Bridge, named after the mason’s sons).  The intimate ceremony was held on the Vin Rose lawn overlooking the White Hall Lane vineyards.  The white roses, which border the vineyards were in full bloom and added a very nice touch.  Last, but certainly not least, before our departure we photographed Cait and David with their dog, Maddie, (well, a photo of her).  I think it is very sweet that they included her in their destination wedding day celebration!

Tra Vigne Wedding – Lindsay & Derek

If you are looking for a venue for your wedding that has a Tuscan feel to it, Tra Vigne just make be a great choice for you!  Lindsay & Derek’s wedding was held in the court yard with a beautiful iron gate as a back drop.  As you can see, Tra Vigne is surrounded by vineyards, which made for spectacular photo opportunities for the bride and groom.  Attention to detail is exceptional at this venue with beautiful areas everywhere you look.

Sylvan Lake Estate wedding – Sarah & Michael

A Sylvan Lake Estate wedding of Sarah & Michael, which is nestled in Angwin in the hills above Napa Valley.  The event was coordinated by Cristina Heald of Heald Wedding Consulting, who was an absolute pleasure to work with from our first phone conversation thru the end of the wedding.  Very kind and capable, helping the day run smoothly and comfortably.  Catering was by Frontier Bar-Be-Que in Middletown.  Sylvan Lake Estate is a spacious property for an event with a lot of natural beauty.  Sarah & Michael added their own personal touches to make the property their own for the day.  In the evening, the soft light from the lanterns transform the venue into a cozy romantic wonderland!
