Shelley & Donald’s Elopement

They were married in a late afternoon ceremony in St. Helena at Harvest Inn.

Their ceremony was held on the balcony of their suite overlooking the vineyards.

The vineyards in winter are wonderfully artistic looking and full of texture as shown here in this overhead shot.

The Koi pond on grounds is filled with these colorful fish.

I went to where Shelley was getting ready and did some photos of her pre-ceremony, while Mark was photographing Donald.

Flowers by Tesoro of St. Helena.

A view of the ceremony with the vineyards as a backdrop. The ceremony was witnessed by their children.

The groom and bride take turns reading their special thoughts to each other during the ceremony.

The officiant displays Shelley’s beautiful ring just prior to the ring exchange.

Toward the end of the ceremony, the officiant offers a blessing where everyone joined hands; here is a view of Shelley’s daughter.

Shelley takes the opportunity to sit on her husband’s lap and snuggle after the ceremony.

A detail of the bride’s pumps featuring gold and silver heart straps.

I love this shot of the back of the bride’s dress as she was walking in the garden.

A very vibrant and fun wedding detail shot.

Silhouetted kiss.

Best wishes!

Don & Shelley,

Laurie just shared with me the Good News of your joining together as man and wife. I viewed the photos and was moved by the love I could clearly see in both of your eyes. The Journey of your love is an amazing story and to witness this new chapter truly makes me happy. I have rarely seen such a beautiful couple. When two strong Independent people come together and surrender their hearts it is a powerful witness to enduring love. It was a blessing to see your children in the wedding, they are lucky to have the two of you. Don, you are the luckiest! Shelley, you are the luckiest! I pray that the Lord of this Creation would pour His Riches into your life, even more. Congratulations and my compliments to your stunning photographer. Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy!
