Wow! The years seem to have just flown by since I myself was a bride on a very hot summer day in Fairfield on August 24, 1974. If we look like a couple of kids, it’s because we were . . . teenagers in fact! As you can see, wedding attire has changed quite a bit since my own wedding day. No strapless gowns back then as is the norm today. And that headpiece atop my veil . . . oh my. Seen any blue tux’s with ruffled shirts and a bow tie lately on any grooms?

Photo taken during the recessional by Peter Lockner, long-time photographer of Napa Valley, who was somewhere in his seventies when he photographed our wedding.

Wow look at you both???? Uncle Mark looks like he’s 20 haha!!! Myyyyyy goodness where does the time go? Thanks for sharing auntie! I wish you both the best and many more years to come!
Jo Ann — Yes, the little sandwiches mom packed for me and Mark to take on our honeymoon to Lake Tahoe. We might have starved on our three hour car trip, you know! What a priceless memory and a wonderful mother.
Linda — Shirley Temple . . . that is so funny! I have all this curly hair and yet I blow dry it to make it straight!
Thanks for sharing a precious memory, my little sissy. It was a great day, thanks for the memories. I’ll always remember Mom and the sandwiches! Happy 35th to you and Mark.
What a beautiful bride. You know when you were a little girl I used to say you looked like Shirley Temple with all your blonde curls. In your wedding picture you look like her when she was that age! Happy 35th anniversary.
