Thirty six years ago today . . . August 24, 1974. We don’t have a lot of photos from our wedding day, only 30 photos to be exact. (No, I did not leave off a zero). I wish we had more! Most of the photos in our little album are formal ones with a few ceremony shots and the cake cutting. It was definitely not the “story telling” wedding photos we do for our clients today but, then again, that was not the style of wedding photography back then. The thing I think I miss the most is we don’t really have any candid photos. It would have been so nice to look back and see our guests and family in a lot more of the photos; in particular, my parents. When we photograph a wedding, formal photos are definitely important but we also focus on the joy and interaction between people along with site photos and all the little details that make a wedding special because having that sort of memory years later, is what really makes your photos even more special.
One more blast from the past!
Looking forward to a nice day today!
