Ira & Elaine’s 60th Wedding Anniversary!

Traveling from Florida, Ira and Elaine met up with their children and grandchildren to celebrate this happy milestone in their lives at Silverado Resort in Napa. The seeds for this family were planted 60 years ago when Ira and Elaine were married. Here they are at their reception at the grand Waldorf Astoria in New York! This is a sampling of a few of our favorites starting with a photo taken on their wedding day.

Ira and Elaine with their children, Rich, Larry and Carol. We really enjoy doing these multi-generation family portraits starting with the couple’s grown children and then including a variety of individual family groups, individual photos of all in the family as well as the whole family together.

A fun portrait of the grandkids, Josh, Robyn, Julia and Sophia.

Rich with his wife Monica and their children Robyn and Josh. Did we do a portrait of all of them looking at the camera? Of course, but I really like the feel of this one! 🙂

Congratulations Ira and Elaine. You are a true inspiration to all married couples!

Summer & David’s Elopement

MacArthur Place in Sonoma was the venue that Summer and David chose for their destination wedding. This place is incredible and has garden spa suites that are really luxurious.

070107_a.jpg

There are a lot of really unique sculptures, etc. all over. I love this cool weather vane.

070107_b.jpg

Here they are walking towards the ceremony site making sure that they had the ring boxes.

070107_c.jpg

The ceremony took place in this lovely little garden, which is by the Koi Pond. Rev. Peadar Dalton of Your Ceremony Matters officiated.

070107_d.jpg

During the ceremony, Rev. Dalton directed Summer and David to hold each other’s ring over their heart, prior to exchanging rings.

Tears of joy from Summer after they are pronounced husband and wife.

A short distance away, what else? Chess. David decided that they should be the King and Queen. I love how they just blend in and look so stoic.

Same place, within a a minute or so of the previous shot only this time with more dramatic use of light for a more romantic feeling.

Beautiful late afternoon sunshine.

After we were done with their photos, they headed on over to the General’s Daughter for their wedding dinner.

Best wishes!

Checkers…classic. Hail to the Lovelands.

Jennifer & John’s Wedding

We went to Glenn Ellen, which is in Sonoma County, to photograph the wedding of Jennifer and John at B.R. Cohn Winery.

A whimsical piece of art work outside the winery greets visitors.

061907_b.jpg

If you ever visit B.R. Cohn, you may have seen “Moose”, who I have seen hanging out near the tasting room on previous trips to the winery and is very appropriately named. He is featured in the book “Winery Dogs of Sonoma”. He even has a wine named after him!!!

Here is the secluded ceremony site where they were married in this clearing overlooking the vineyards.

Jennifer and John selected this tree stump, which provided a unique platform for them to stand on during the ceremony and elevated them above their guests and minister.

I really like how the breeze is gently moving her dress in this shot.

John rented a red corvette for their wedding day!

061907_k.jpg

This is great. How many people have driven a corvette in a vineyard on their wedding day?!

Amy & Michael’s Napa Valley Elopement

It was an intimate ceremony with just the two of them as Amy and Michael exchanged their vows in St. Helena at Harvest Inn.

061807_a.jpg

The beautiful bride wearing a wedding gown trimmed with red and a fashionable short jacket.

061807_b.jpg

And . . . the handsome groom.

061807_c.jpg

The ceremony was held on the patio terrace with the vineyards as a beautiful backdrop. Rev. Peadar Dalton of Your Ceremony Matters was the Minister.

061807_d.jpg

061807_e.jpg

Some casual romantic portraits.

061807_f.jpg

This perspective really shows off Amy’s beautiful gown.

061807_h.jpg

061807_i.jpg

Their first dance as husband and wife. What a grand dance floor!

061807_j.jpg

They had so much fun!

061807_k.jpg

Dinner reservations were at Tra Vigne in a private courtyard, which they had all to themselves.

061807_l.jpg

061807_m.jpg

Amy gave Michael a special bracelet; he was so surprised when this bottle of Schramsberg was brought to the courtyard and the bracelet was on the neck of the bottle.

061807_q.jpg

Tra Vigne is like a little piece of Italy in the Napa Valley.

Wishing you all the best!

Amber & Matt’s Elopement

A small gathering of family and friends traveled to Napa Valley to attend Amber and Matt’s destination wedding at Churchill Manor.

061707_a.jpg

Some pre-ceremony shots of Amber.

061707_b.jpg

This is Amber’s “something borrowed”, a piece of jewelry pinned to her dress belonging to her Maid of Honor’s mother.

A portrait of Matt.

061707_e.jpg

Charlotte the harpist. The music she plays adds so much ambience to a wedding and is such a pleasure to listen to.

061707_f.jpg

Waiting patiently for the ceremony to begin.

061707_g.jpg

I love seeing Matt’s dad, who was his Best Man, smiling in the background during the recessional.

061707_i.jpg

A hug given to Matt by his mom.

061707_j.jpg

Matt’s dad gave a very heartfelt toast to the couple. This was a particularly special day for Matt’s dad as this was also the date he and his wife were married.

061707_k.jpg

061707_l.jpg

061707_m.jpg

After the ceremony, they headed off to have lunch on the Napa Valley Wine Train.

Best wishes!
